Types of Writing Charts and Resources

Page history last edited by MrC 5 years, 5 months ago

On this page, I've attached anchor charts we created in class that cover the different types of writing.  These types will be practiced, crafted, and worked on throughout the entire year.

This anchor chart shows the structure of Informational Writing and the extra skills we worked on to create our Autobiography.  With each new Informational piece, students will continue to use the skills seen on this chart, along with new skills.

This anchor chart shows the structure of Narrative Writing and the extra skills we worked on to create our first story.  With each new Narrative piece, students will continue to use the skills seen on this chart, along with new skills.

The opinion anchor chart shows the structure of Opinion Writing.  Our first writing assignment will focus on discussing careers that students like.  They will have to provide reasons and evidence to support their thinking.
